Witney Town Council invites residents to carnival stall
The event will take place on Saturday, July 11, at The Leys, starting at 12pm.
Visitors are encouraged to take part in activities, share feedback, and learn more about its latest projects, with the potential of winning a free drink.
Witney Town Council said: “Come and visit the Witney Town Council stall to see what we’ve been up to and get involved in some fun activities.
“Take on the Witney Youth Council’s games and activities, including cornhole, and tell us your views on issues affecting young people in Witney.
“You might even win a free cold drink!”
Visitors can also cast votes on their favourite Schools in Bloom wheelbarrow, leave suggestions, and take part in the council’s interactive survey boards.
Witney Carnival is organised by the Rotary Club of Witney, Witney Lions Club, and 2120 Witney Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets.
It features a colourful procession, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
First held in 1928 and revived in 1985, it has grown into a major community celebration held on The Leys.
A surplus from the event supports local charities.
Volunteers set up marquees and gazebos the day before, helping to create a welcoming space for the festivities.
