Witney coach hire business for sale after after 50 years
Blunsdon of Oxford has become a recognisable brand with a ‘strong reputation’ after its nearly half a century trading.
Founded in 1977, the ‘well-established’ coach hire businesses operates from the market town of Witney.

It has now been listed for sale online to a new owner, for an asking price of £129,000.
The listing said: “The business provides reliable home-to-school contracts and private hire services, maintaining a strong reputation for dependable operations and regulatory compliance as a registered national operator.

“The company’s fleet consists of four full-sized coaches, two of which meet current PSVAR accessibility standards, ensuring continued compliance with government requirements.
“With a loyal local customer base, long-standing council contracts, and a well-located secure yard in Witney that also generates additional rental income, the business offers a solid foundation with scope for further growth through additional school contracts or diversification into midi and minibus hire.”

The listing says the business enjoys low overheads as the yard is sublet to other operators, strong repeat income from long-term council contracts, and reliable school term work with additional private and seasonal hire income potential.
No reason was given for the business owner’s decision to sell in the public listing.
The business was previously listed with an asking price of £149,000 and the price has now been dropped.
