Wanted Oxford woman arrested after ‘theft and drug offences’
Thames Valley Police said one female was arrested this week on suspicion of shoplifting, drug offences and being wanted on warrant.
She is just one of several people dealt with by the force’s Oxford team for shoplifting, since a man was also detained after being found with stolen items.

Police said two offences were identified in relation to the male and the items were safely returned to the store.
A third suspect, a man, was also interviewed for shoplifting after an independent business owner flagged down officers patrolling Underhill Circus to voice their concerns.
Officers also responded to an incident while it was ongoing in the city, and arrested a suspect for criminal damage and shoplifting and ‘safeguarded’ the victim, described as a ‘vulnerable member of the community’.
In a distinct type of offence, a man was also arrested in connection with theft offences of motor vehicles, after four stolen vehicles were recovered.
Police said others have also been identified in connection with the stolen vehicles as ‘enquiries continue’.

Proving a busy week for the Oxford team, officers also carried out high-visibility patrols in London Road, Headington, when a known man made off from police before being caught and searched.
The force also attended the Headington Festival in Bury Knowle Park, engaging with attendees and providing picture opportunities for youngsters in their police van.
A spokesperson for the team said: “A big thank you to our community for your continued support and information – it plays a vital role in helping us keep the northeast of Oxford and the surrounding areas safe.”
