St Andrews bookshop in Oxfordshire announces closure after 40 years
St Andrews bookshop on High Street, Witney released a statement announcing its sudden closure this weekend.
In a statement they said: “It is with the greatest sadness and the heaviest of hearts that I announce the closure of our beloved little shop.
“Our doors will be closing permanently from the 12th of July 2026.
“It has be an absolute privilege to have served our and the wider community for so many years.

“We would like to thank our customers for their support.”
The Christian bookshop specialised in religious themed books, children’s books, youth books, bibles, gifts and CDS and DVDs.
The bookshop also has a second hand book area.
The bookshop only recently revamped their door and windows in May.
The reason for the sudden closure is unknown.
Faringdon’s Mustard Seed and Grove’s Cornerstone are the last remaining Christian bookshops in Oxfordshire.
