Royal Mail chaos hits UK with Oxfordshire postcodes affected

Published

More than 150 postcodes across the UK have Royal Mail service alerts today, warning of disruption to the delivery of letters and packages.

The postal company claims the issues are being caused by localised issues like high levels of sick absence among posties, resourcing and other factors.

Royal Mail said in a statement: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week.

“In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.

“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.

“We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.

British Triathlon launches digital overhaul with Netcompany

Published

on

British Triathlon has launched a digital transformation programme with Netcompany and Huble. The initiative covers British Triathlon and its Home Nations bodies across Great Britain.

The programme is intended to bring membership, communications and insight into a more connected system. It includes Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon.

The changes are designed to replace older technology systems and fragmented working practices. British Triathlon expects the programme to support simpler digital interactions, more relevant communications and improved self-service for members and participants.

The overhaul is also expected to give British Triathlon and the Home Nations a shared view of member needs. In turn, that should support more consistent engagement, closer collaboration and stronger long-term planning across the sport.

Delivered with Netcompany, British Triathlon’s digital transformation partner, and Huble, a consultancy focused on marketing, sales and service systems, the programme supports an updated membership offer. It is also intended to help the sport’s administrators communicate with members more consistently and at the right time.

Ruth Daniels, chief executive of British Triathlon, set out the organisation’s view of the project.

“This is an important first step in how we better support our members and the wider swim, bike and run community. It gives us the foundations to make everyday interactions simpler, more joined up and more personalised, while helping us understand and respond to the needs of our sport in a more consistent way. The programme also shows the strength of collaboration across our Home Nations, partners and UK Sport, and highlights the positive impact we are already making in communities through our partnership with both Netcompany and Huble. This has been a huge piece of work for us and I am incredibly grateful for the substantial work done by our team at British Triathlon, our Home Nations colleagues, Netcompany, Huble and for the support of UK Sport and the National Lottery.”

Member systems

Nikki Phillips, director of digital transformation at British Triathlon, said the work was not limited to replacing software. It also changes how the governing body and the Home Nations work together and assess engagement across the sport.

“This milestone marks a significant step forward for British Triathlon and the Home Nations. It is about more than changing systems; it is about changing how we work together, how we understand our members and how we make it easier for people to engage with swim, bike and run. For the first time, we will have a more connected and reliable picture of member engagement across the sport. That will help us improve services, strengthen decision making and create more personalised experiences for members now and in the years ahead.”

The project also has a commercial dimension. A more unified set of member data is expected to help commercial partners make decisions based on audience information and improve engagement with current and prospective audiences.

Netcompany said the launch gives British Triathlon a base for improving member experience and planning. Richard Davies, UK country managing partner at Netcompany, said the work showed how digital change could reshape operations in sporting bodies.

“This launch shows how transformation can help sporting organisations deliver lasting value for the people they serve. British Triathlon now has the foundations to improve member experience, support participation and plan confidently for future growth. We are proud to have delivered this together and look forward to supporting British Triathlon as the programme continues.”

Wider reach

Huble said the programme brought British Triathlon’s member data together in one place for the first time. Rebecca Harris, chief executive officer of Huble, said that should help the organisation and the Home Nations better understand and support members.

“Getting a CRM project of this scale live takes genuine partnership, and that’s exactly what this has been. We’ve brought British Triathlon’s member data together in one place for the first time, giving the organisation and the Home Nations a real foundation to understand and support their members better. We’re proud of what the team has delivered, and excited to keep building on it as the programme moves into its next phase.”

Alongside the systems work, the partnership with Netcompany includes a social value commitment tied to community activity in Bradford. British Triathlon said the Swim Bike Run Neighbourhood Partnership with Active Bradford is aimed at creating more opportunities for children and families to take part in swim, bike and run activity.

The community work includes Active Skills for Life and Literacy Kicks pilots, which combine classroom-based sports journalism with practical physical activity sessions. More than 120 children took part in free pop-up duathlons in Keighley and Wyke over the three months to June, while the Bradford Girl Power project reached more than 400 children in schools.

Free park duathlons are also continuing across the district. The participation figures reflect a broader effort by British Triathlon to link digital investment with community engagement as it updates how the sport is administered and promoted across Great Britain.

British Triathlon is the governing body for triathlon and multisport in Great Britain and works with the Home Nations to oversee participation, clubs, programmes and events. The latest programme signals a substantial back-office and membership systems overhaul as the organisation seeks a more joined-up approach to serving athletes, members and the wider swim, bike and run community.

Rezolve Ai partners Zilch on retail offers platform

Rezolve Ai has partnered with Zilch to add its Reward retail engagement platform to the payments app’s customer experience, linking the company with a UK payments platform that serves nearly 6 million customers.

The deal will place offers from hundreds of UK retailers inside the Zilch journey for online and in-store spending. The integration is designed to connect merchants with consumers at the point where payment and shopping decisions meet.

According to the companies, Zilch is one of the larger consumer payments platforms in the UK. Rezolve Ai said the app directs more than USD $3.3 billion in annual sales to partner merchants, while Zilch said it drives more than GBP £2.5 billion annually to merchant partners.

The partnership extends the reach of Reward, Rezolve Ai’s financial engagement business. The platform already works with banking and payments groups including Barclays, Visa, Mastercard, NatWest and Mashreq. Through that network, Rezolve Ai said it has returned more than USD $2 billion in cashback to customers.

The move reflects a broader push by commerce technology groups to place retail offers, loyalty tools and customer prompts inside financial apps, rather than relying only on conventional advertising or retailer-owned channels. For payments providers, such partnerships can add shopping features to products already used for everyday transactions.

Rezolve Ai presented the deal as further evidence of its plan to build software that sits between merchants, consumers and financial platforms. It also said agreements with Mashreq, Visa and Tata Consultancy Services support its previously stated FY26 revenue guidance of about USD $360 million.

Daniel M. Wagner, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rezolve Ai, described the Zilch partnership as a sign of where payments and shopping are heading.

“Zilch is not simply another distribution partner. It is a high-profile fintech platform serving nearly 6 million customers and driving more than $3.3 billion annually to partner merchants. That scale demonstrates exactly where commerce is heading: intelligent engagement embedded directly into the payments journey. Through Reward, we are bringing retailers, consumers and payment providers together at the point of intent, where AI can make every interaction more relevant, measurable and valuable. As transactions become more personalised, more automated and increasingly agentic, Rezolve Ai is positioning itself to power the real-time connection between financial platforms, merchants and consumers,” Wagner said.

Reward operates in more than 15 markets across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The business focuses on linking banking and retail data with merchant offers and customer engagement tools.

James House, Chief Executive Officer of Reward, said the Zilch agreement broadens the channels through which brands can reach consumers inside financial services products.

“Reward has built a powerful network at the intersection of banking, payments and retail. Bringing our platform into the Zilch ecosystem gives brands another high-quality financial environment through which to reach customers, drive engagement and generate measurable sales growth. Zilch is a highly relevant and fast-growing payments platform, and this partnership demonstrates how Reward continues to expand the reach and effectiveness of Rezolve Ai’s broader commerce infrastructure,” House said.

Zilch growth

Zilch, founded in 2019, has built its business around a mix of debit, credit, instalments, earned wage access, credit building, deals and rewards. The company said nearly 6 million customers have saved more than GBP £750 million in fees and interest through its platform.

The addition of Reward will widen the pool of merchants available through Zilch’s service and increase the number of brands using Zilch’s Intelligent Commerce offering. The companies said this will let retailers reach consumers in both digital and physical shopping settings.

Andreas Andreou, Chief Revenue Officer of Zilch, said the agreement expands retailer access for users and adds more brands to its commerce network.

“Our focus has always been on giving customers more from their everyday spending by offering more flexible ways to pay and more value from every transaction. This partnership with Reward significantly expands the range of retailers our customers can access with subsidized credit in-store and online through Zilch. It also brings more great brands onto Intelligent Commerce, where we can help them connect with our highly engaged customer base in the most effective way,” Andreou said.
