Oxfordshire police launch hunt for knifeman in pyjamas

The incident occurred at approximately 11.08pm on Friday, May 15 in Westlands Drive in Marston.

A male offender damaged a vehicle by slashing the tyres with a knife before leaving the scene.

Thames Valley Police say he was last seen making off past the shops in the direction of Saxon Way.

Described as a white male by police, the offender was wearing pyjama bottoms and a dark-coloured hooded jumper.

The force is now appealing for witnesses following the incident of criminal damage and possession of a bladed article in Oxford.

PC Ffion Branch, the officer in charge of the investigation, is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

In a statement this afternoon (Wednesday, May 20), she asked for anyone who saw someone matching this description in the area at the time to come forward.

She said: “We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed suspicious behaviour in the area or who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from Westlands Drive, Saxon Way, or the surrounding area.
