Oxfordshire cafe flooded with visitors after announcing closure

No.33 Didcot announced on Tuesday, July 14 it would be closing its space on Great Western Park in Didcot.

The cafe opened on March 10, 2025 but is to stop trading this summer.

The owners said: “If I’d known it would make us this busy, I’d have told you we were closing months ago!”

The cafe has also seen multiple postive reviews after announcing its closure.

A statement from No.33 Didcot said: “100 reviews up on Google.

“4.8/5. Not too shabby.

“The Ritz, London, has 4.6/5.

“Now, I’m not saying we are better than The Ritz.

“But, numbers don’t lie.”

Bosses say the business has not been a failure as money invested has been entirely made back.

However, it will be closing at the end of August.

A statement from No.33 Didcot said: “It’s with a very heavy heart that we have, today, given notice to leave our space on Great Western Park.

“Before the rumours start, we will put them straight to bed. There’s been no failure. We very nearly made the money back that we invested which, for a hospitality start up in 2026, is pretty bloody good.

The owners also run catering business Feed My Crew which is not affected by the closure of the cafe.

The business feeds film and TV crews, festival crews and artists, and corporate lunches and events.
