M40 driver caught speeding at 116mph in Oxfordshire
Thames Valley Police has been patrolling the motorway between Junctions 9 and 10 recently, and officers saw as many as 154 speeding offences.
Among these, one of the drivers was clocked driving at 116mph, with officers taking to social media this morning (Monday, May 18) to share the news.

A statement from Thames Valley Police said: “We’ve been on the M40 between Junction 9 and Junction 10, where 154 speeding offences were captured, with one of them being recorded at 116mph.
“Within 14 days of your vehicle being caught speeding, the registered keeper will be sent a notice of intended prosecution and a section 172 notice
“Speed limits are set for a reason, and exceeding them is illegal.
“The minimum penalty for speeding is a fixed penalty fine of £100 and three points added to your licence.”
