Illegal motorist chased through Oxfordshire golf course
Officers from the force looked to stop the silver car near Wheatley village yesterday (Wednesday, April 29), however it reportedly tried to get away by going into a nearby golf course.
The force subsequently discovered that it was uninsured.

A spokesperson for the rural crime unit said: “Officers stopped this car near Wheatley today as it was showing as uninsured.
“The driver tried to evade us by turning into a golf course. Upon speaking to the drive-r it was ascertained that the vehicle was indeed uninsured.

“Hole in one for the officers, vehicle seized!”
In addition, officers from the same unit also stopped a vehicle in Abingdon yesterday as the motorist had no licence or insurance.
In this case, this was the second time in two months that the driver had been stopped for the offences and so he has been reported to court, with his vehicle seized.
“Officers stopped this vehicle in Abingdon yesterday,” said a spokesperson for the rural crime unit.

They added: “The driver had no licence or insurance.
“This is the second time in two months the driver has been stopped and dealt with for the same offences.
“The driver has been reported to court and his vehicle seized.”
