Ford Ranger pursues motorbike in off-road Oxfordshire chase
Thames Valley Police said that its team was searching for a stolen motorbike yesterday evening (Thursday, May 21) near Charlbury and pursued a suspected vehicle off-road using its Ford Ranger car.
According to the force the bike struggled with the terrain and was abandoned and, although it turned out not to be the stolen vehicle, it was registered as off the road (SORN) and so not legal.

A spokesperson said: “Officers were completing paperwork in the Charlbury area following information regarding a stolen motorbike being driven in the area.
“A motorbike was pursued off road by our Rural Crime Taskforce Ford Ranger before struggling with the terrain and being abandoned.
“This bike turned out not to be the stolen motorbike but was not supposed to be on the road as it was registered as SORN.”
