Didcot nursery and reception children enjoy new shelters
Aureus Primary in Didcot has installed four shelters in its early years outdoor areas, with one in the nursery garden and three in the reception garden.
The new facilities allow pupils to learn and play outside year-round.
Sarah Beeton, assistant headteacher at the school, said: “Aureus Primary secured funding to install new outdoor shelters for its Early Years Unit, enhancing learning and play opportunities for Nursery and Reception pupils.
“The shelters create protected, all-weather outdoor spaces, allowing children to benefit from outdoor learning throughout the year.”
The shelters support the school’s focus on early childhood education and promote physical development.
Mrs Beeton said the shelters have been well received by both staff and families.
