Dalcour Maclaren made the move in response to rising demand for infrastructure, renewables, and water projects across Wales.

Dalcour Maclaren already works with organisations including Welsh Water and National Grid.

It is currently supporting projects such as Welsh Water’s Cello telemetry schemes, National Grid substation expansion projects, and work across AMP8 frameworks with Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy.

The expansion strengthens the company’s ability to deliver integrated land, planning and environmental services locally, alongside the introduction of the Infrastructure (Wales) Act, which is reshaping how projects are planned and delivered.

Sean Taylor, technical director for environment and planning at Dalcour Maclaren, said: “The Infrastructure (Wales) Act introduces a more streamlined and consistent approach to consenting major projects.

“That creates opportunity but also requires a clear strategy and understanding of the process from the outset.”

Dalcour Maclaren is also involved in major renewable energy projects, including offshore wind developments Mona and Awel y Môr.

The full-service agency, based in Oxford, combines sales, lettings, and new homes under one roof for the first time in the city.

It promises clients continuity of advice from land acquisition through to sales and lettings within one structure.

All three leaders bring extensive experience to their roles.

Maxine Reynolds heads up sales, specialising in resale transactions across Oxford.

Nick Jones, now a partner following Bidwells’ acquisition of his residential agency Nicholas Jones Residential, leads lettings.

Iain Powis, who joined the company in January 2025, heads up new homes, working with developers on the sale of new-build schemes.

Oxford’s property market remains one of the most in-demand and undersupplied in the UK.

Over the past five years, rents have risen by 33 per cent and house prices have grown by six per cent to reach an average of £478,000.

Bidwells estimates that Greater Oxford will need an additional 40,000 homes by 2040 to keep pace with projected population growth.

The new residential agency is supported by Bidwells’ land and development team, led in Oxford by Zanna Bowles.

According to Bidwells, this gives clients ‘direct access to planning intelligence, development economics and pipeline visibility’. 

Bidwells already has a significant presence in Oxford, offering services in science and technology advisory, planning, project management, and rural agency and advisory services.

Its clients include major Oxford University colleges and Harwell Science and Innovation Campus.

The company employs more than 600 people and manages more than £5.2 billion in property assets.

According to Bidwells, the newest Oxford venture reflects its growing ambitions in one of the UK’s most dynamic housing markets.

Eddy Webb and Brian Kemp, from Travis Perkins’ Chipping Norton branch on Station Road, completed 200km running and cycling challenges by undertaking 100km each to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society – the business’ chosen charity.

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer and one in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity – providing help and hope to everyone affected by dementia.

Eddy, 32, set himself the extraordinary challenge of running 100km in a day, which is roughly the same as running from the Chipping Norton branch to Bristol city centre while Brian took to the Cotswolds hills on his bike to complete his 100km on challenging terrain.

Setting off at 5am, he completed his task in 14 hours. The yard manager at Travis Perkins Chipping Norton did the first 80km around the local area before heading back to his branch to complete the final stretch in front of suppliers, customers, family and friends.

Meanwhile Brian, 56, who is the branch manager, started his cycling challenge at 7am, completing the 100km cycle in six hours, arriving back at the branch mid-afternoon.

Speaking after completing his run, Eddy said: “I have run a long way before, but when I set myself this challenge, I knew how difficult it was going to be, and it certainly did not disappoint from that perspective.

“I felt completely exhausted after it, but ultimately it was for a great cause in Alzheimer’s Society, and it ended up being such a good day for everyone at Travis Perkins Chipping Norton.

“I am so grateful to all those who supported both Brian and me throughout the day.”

Brian said: “Chipping Norton is a tough place to cycle at the best of times because of its hilly nature, but a 100km ride was very challenging. I am pleased I managed to complete it, and my overriding feeling is of pride that everyone at the branch pulled together to raise a great amount of money for charity.”
