Carl Smithson, of Truck Store, said: “It was busy from the get go at both shops – in Oxford there were queues down Cowley Road and around the corner.
“We are celebrating our 15th anniversary at the Oxford store and it was definitely our busiest Record Store Day at both stores.
“It’s such a diverse range of titles released on Record Store Day – you get Taylor Swift fans coming in, alongside music fans who want to buy Neil Young and The Doors – it taps into different demographics.
