Witney martial arts instructor wins world title in USA

Chief Master Jordan Schreiber, founder of Menssana Martial Arts in Witney, claimed the top title in the Forms division at the ATA World Championships, held in Phoenix, Arizona, from July 14 to 19.

Chief Master Schreiber said: “At Menssana Martial Arts, we teach our students that competition is a good way to set goals, develop discipline, and challenge themselves.

“I’m proud to set this example for them and to show that we can always reach for new heights, regardless of our age or level of experience.”

With more than 40 years of experience in Songahm Taekwondo, Chief Master Schreiber holds an eighth-degree black belt and began training at the age of nine.

He is a member of the Songahm Masters’ Council, contributes to global martial arts policy, and serves as director of ATA Europe.

He founded Menssana Martial Arts to introduce a high standard of instruction to West Oxfordshire.

The academy, located on Bridge Street in Witney, offers Taekwondo and Krav Maga programmes for children as young as three through to adults.

It also places emphasis on life skills such as focus, discipline, and confidence.

The ATA (American Taekwondo Association) is one of the world’s largest martial arts organisations, with schools across Europe, North and South America, South Africa, India, and Australia.

The World Championships represent the pinnacle of the ATA competitive calendar, drawing top competitors from every region.
