Westwell residents asked for views on new 20mph limit
A speed limit in Westwell, near Burford, is currently set at 30mph.
However, there are now proposals to lower the speed limit to improve road safety following concerns raised by the parish.
Residents are urged to share their thoughts on the proposal before July 31, at 5pm.
Complex queries regarding the proposed change will be addressed throughout the consultation process.
Depending on the feedback, a report may be prepared for a meeting with Oxford County Council’s cabinet member for highway management, scheduled for later in 2026.
This meeting will be open to the public.
The agenda and reports for the meeting will be made available on the council’s website about a week before, though attendees are advised to check the agenda ahead of attending to confirm the report’s inclusion.
