Weetabix give 102-year-old Oxfordshire superfan special gift

John of Wantage Residential and Nursing Home, whose surname has not been disclosed, has eaten Weetabix every morning since 1932 and, hearing of his dedication, the Northamptonshire-based company sent him a personalised box created especially for him.

In addition they gave him a card and letter thanking him for his loyalty.

Lisa Lee of the care home said: “At 102 years old, John’s story is about far more than breakfast.

“It reflects a lifetime of consistency, treasured memories, family connection, and the comfort found in small daily routines.”

Ms Lee and a colleague, Courtney, set-up the special present by contacting Weetabix after hearing about John’s story.

She said: “We wanted to share his remarkable loyalty and love for the brand over the decades.

“To our delight, Weetabix responded with an incredibly thoughtful surprise for John.

“He received a heartfelt card and letter, along with a personalised box of Weetabix created especially for him.”

She added: “When the package arrived, John’s face lit up with pure joy and gratitude. It was a truly touching moment that reminded us all of the power of kindness, listening, and making people feel valued and heard.

“John was absolutely over the moon and wanted to send his sincere thanks to everyone at Weetabix for their kindness and generosity.

“It’s such a simple story, but one that became something truly unforgettable for everyone involved.”
