Wantage – Lidl seeks major planning changes to parking

The supermarket chain is seeking to vary conditions on a previously approved application for a site on Grove Road, Wantage.

This includes adjustments to approved plans, a sustainable drainage scheme, parking and turning spaces, landscaping, and electric vehicle (EV) charging provisions.

Listed under reference P26/V1891/S73, the application is categorised as a major development.

Members of the public have until July 5 to comment on the proposal.

These comments can be submitted online and will be available for public viewing.

Elsewhere, other planning applications have been submitted to the Vale of White Horse District Council.

These include emergency repair works to outbuilding roofs and enlargements at Bridge House, Main Street, East Challow, Wantage, and a proposed two-storey side and single-storey rear extension at 23 Diggins Lane, Fyfield, Abingdon.

Nottingham Fee House in Blewbury has applied for the installation of an EV charger and repairs to rotten window frames.

The Dovecote in Buckland has submitted plans for the erection of a detached dwelling and a change of use to ancillary residential use.

Other applications involve necessary works to a damaged heritage wall at Kingston Lisle House and internal refurbishments at Coulings, Orchard Lane, East Hendred.
