Update on bin collection changes in Oxfordshire this Easter

This year, the Easter period falls between Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6.

In Oxford, there will be no changes to bin collections.

A spokesman for Oxford Direct Services (ODS) said: “Easter bank holiday update. Good news. There are no changes to your household bin collections over the Easter bank holidays this year.

“Please put your bins out as normal on your usual collection day.”

Meanwhile, in the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district areas, there are some minor tweaks to the collections.

If due to be collected on Friday, April 3, the binmen will be round the following day (Saturday, April 4).

Monday, April 6’s collection will be moved to Tuesday, April 7.

Tuesday’s collection will be moved to Wednesday, April 8.

Wednesday’s collection will now be on Thursday, April 9.

Thursday’s collection has been moved to Friday, April 10.

And Friday’s collection will be picked up on Saturday, April 11.

West Oxfordshire and Cherwell districts will remain the same.
