Train lines BLOCKED and delays for hours amid London incident
This temporary closure was announced shortly before 7am this morning (Monday, June 1) by Great Western Railway (GWR).
Several Oxfordshire to London trains and vice versa pass through Reading, meaning multiple connections have been cancelled or delayed this morning.

Travel Update – 01/06 Due to a points failure between Reading and London Paddington some lines are blocked.
Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
Disruption is expected until 10:00

A statement from the train service on the social media site X said: “Due to a points failure between Reading and London Paddington, some lines are blocked.
“Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
“Disruption is expected until 10am. Check your journey online and follow us for updates.”
