Jan Bulfield said on hearing about the award: “I am truly honoured and humbled to receive this award whilst doing a job I love, but do so as a reflection of the great people and teams I have had the privilege of working with across both Forces, and the amazing support of family and friends.”
Jan has also been unwavering in her support for others within Thames Valley Police and Hampshire working as a mental health and cancer peer supporter with her K9 welfare dog Molly, regularly travelling to support colleagues who are responding to the challenges of policing.
Thames Valley Police Chief Constable Jason Hogg, said: “I would like to say a huge congratulations to Jan, who has worked in policing for 43 years of her life.
“Her dedication to developing and supporting others, as well as her commitment to supporting victims is clear, and I am delighted that she has been commended in this way.
