Temperatures across Oxfordshire to drop following heatwave
A yellow heat-health alert is issued for the south east of England until 8pm on Saturday, May 30 – the last day of the heatwave.
The UK Health Security Agency said it expects minor impacts across health and social care services as temperatures reach 27C in Oxford.
From Monday, June 1, the Met Office is forecasting rain from noon until the evening.
Across the UK, temperatures are expected to cool down over the course of the weekend.
Outbreaks of rain are expected to spread from the west before moving gradually eastwards on Saturday, according to the Met Office.

This comes following the recording of some of the hottest meteorological spring temperatures in the UK, including in Oxfordshire.
Benson, near Wallingford, was one of the hottest places in the country during the scorching bank holiday weekend, which saw record-breaking highs of 33.6C.

Across the country, the hot weather has attracted open water swimming in lakes, rivers, reservoirs and the sea.
On Wednesday, a 14-year-old boy, named locally has Baltazar L’Quy, became the 11th person to die in a water-related incident over the course of the heatwave.
The police said he got into difficulty in the water in the River Thames, near Donnington Bridge in Oxford.
There has been a number of tragic water deaths across the country, including in West Yorkshire, Cornwall, and Lancashire, with the youngest known to be a 12-year-old boy and the oldest, a 68-year-old grandfather.
