Sixth formers at Thame school enjoy “wonderful set” of A-levels

Pupils from the sixth form were picking up their results today.

Neil Dimbleby, headteacher, said: “This is a wonderful set of results for our Year 13 students – many congratulations to every single one of them!

“I must praise and thank the staff and our wider school community for their support of our students. This cohort of young people has worked incredibly hard to achieve their success and can now enjoy the rewards of their efforts!”

Sean Wilson, Head of Sixth Form, said: “We pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive school and celebrate every individual. Today’s results reflect the hard work and commitment of all our students. Whether in A-levels, BTECs or Cambridge Technical Qualifications, our young people have achieved excellent outcomes across a wide range of subjects.

“This success is a wonderful reflection of their dedication, but also of the outstanding commitment of our teaching and support staff, and the never-ending encouragement and support from parents and carers. We could not be prouder of what our students have achieved.”

31 students achieved three or more grades at, or equivalent to, A* or A, and the vast majority of students who applied to university have already secured a place at one of their chosen destinations.

Lord Williams’s School is a comprehensive school serving the Thame community and its surrounding rural area. We are a split-site school, with Years 7 – 9 on the Lower School site at Towersey Road and Years 10 – 13 on the Upper School site at Oxford Road.
