The body of Andrew, 62, who was reported missing from the Staverton area last weekend, is believed to have been found on Sunday, police say.

Police made the discovery in Old Gloucester Road, Staverton, the area in which he was last seen around 10pm last Saturday, April 25.

The family of Andrew, whose surname has not been disclosed, has been informed of the development and his death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, say police.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A police spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: “Officers have thanked all of those who were involved in searches, including colleagues from the Severn Area Rescue Association, as well as everyone who shared the appeal to try and locate Andrew or called in with information or potential sightings.

“Our thoughts remain with the Andrew’s family at this time.
