Police update after arrests in ‘urgent’ Oxford incident
The incident occurred in Bonn Square in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon, March 24, when Thames Valley Police officers attended the scene with a significant response.
A man and a woman were arrested, but the police force did not to confirm either suspects’ ages or what they were officially apprehended for.

Police did confirm that no one was injured during the city centre incident.
On Tuesday evening, the force issued an update across their social media pages to explain why the reason for the significant emergency response.
It said: “This afternoon, officers attended an incident in Bonn Square, Queen Street.
“Urgent assistance was requested while detaining two wanted individuals who were failing to comply with officers. This resulted in a large police response.
“We can confirm that no injuries were sustained by officers or the individuals involved.

“A male and a female have been arrested and remain in police custody at this time.”
Today (Wednesday) the force gave this newspaper an update, and said the two arrested people have been released.
A spokesperson for the the force said: “These arrested people have since been released with no further action so we wouldn’t provide further details.”
