Police statement after trans rights march through Oxford
Thames Valley Police has spoken about the protest on Saturday, March 30 that saw more than protesters gather in Bonn Square and march around Oxford.
Displaying banners that read ‘Trans rights now’ and ‘we decide our own fate’, the group’s route included St Aldate’s Police Station and Oxford Magistrates Court.

It was organised by activist group Oxford 4 Trans Rights against the updated code of practice written by the UK equalities watchdog, the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Following the event, police have today (Monday, June 1) revealed that there were no arrests and that there was little disruption from the transgender rights protest.
A spokesperson said: “There was minimal disruption from a policing perspective and no arrests made.”
