Police helicopter deployed amid search for missing Oxfordshire girl

Alisha, whose surname has not been revealed by Thames Valley Police, went missing from the Chinnor area, having been last seen at about 6.20pm on Saturday (July 25).

The 14-year-old is of mixed heritage background, around 5ft 6ins tall, of small build, with braided hair and piercings in her nostrils and ears.

She was last seen wearing black flared leggings, a black t-shirt, a cropped black denim jacket with white socks and no shoes.

A police spokesman said: “If you see Alisha, please call 999 immediately, quoting reference 43260382619.

“Anyone with information that could help us find Alisha is asked to call 101 or make an online report via the link in the comments.”

Police have confirmed today (Monday, July 27) that Alisha, who is known to frequent the Banbury and North London area, is still missing.

“Alisha is still missing at the moment, and searches are ongoing,” said a statement from Thames Valley Police.

A National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter was deployed over the weekend to aid in the search for the missing 14-year-old.

“At 7.15pm on Saturday (July 25), a police helicopter crew from NPAS Benson was deployed to the Chinnor area to assist Thames Valley Police in a search for a high-risk missing person,” said an NPAS spokesperson.

“Total flying time on the task was 52 minutes. The Thames Valley Police log number is 2009 of Saturday, July 25.”
