Police forensics at scene after overnight incident in Oxford

Botley Barber on the corner of Botley Road and Duke Street was broken into overnight between Friday, June 12 and this morning (Saturday, June 13).

The door was smashed in with the glass left broken, while the till was stolen and found smashed up near the bridge in King George’s Field.

Thames Valley Police were at the scene earlier this morning, with a forensics team sent out to investigate.

Officers say £100 was taken, while this newspaper has been told that a Louis Vuitton bag was still inside and not stolen.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at around 6.35am today (June 13) following a report of a burglary at a property on Botley Road.

“A cashier’s till was stolen with no arrests being made at this current time.

“Anyone with any information is urged to call 101 or make a report via our website quoting 43260295849.”
