Person taken to hospital after alleged Oxford fight

The incident happened on Cricket Road, opposite Shelley Road and outside HAQ Halal Butchers and Groceries shop.

A witness said a person was found lying on the ground surrounded by a group of people, who appeared to be helping while waiting for emergency services. One person reportedly placed a blanket over the individual.

An estate ambulance car arrived first, followed by a second ambulance van. Paramedics were seen bringing out a stretcher and taking the person into the ambulance.

Around eight minutes later, two Thames Valley Police vehicles arrived with blue lights, and officers began speaking to those at the scene.

It is not yet clear what led to the incident or the condition of the person allegedly taken to hospital.

Thames Valley Police has been contacted for a statement.
