Passengers warned and trains cancelled as all lines blocked
The incident first occurred earlier this morning (Wednesday, April 15), with an issue at London Marylebone station.
A statement from Chiltern Railways said: “Apologies, due to a problem with line-side equipment at London Marylebone, all lines are blocked.
“Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.”

A secondary update added: “Due to a problem with line-side equipment at London Marylebone, all lines are blocked.
“We’re sorry for the delay to your journey. If you have been delayed by 15 minutes or more, then you are likely to be entitled to compensation.
“We will provide further information as it becomes available.”
This has affected routes to and from Banbury, Oxford, Reading and London Paddington stations, among others.
