Oxfordshire village play park closed for a month for works
The Gerards Avenue Play Park in Hopefield Grange housing estate in Benson, near Wallingford, will be closed for four weeks from Monday, September 7.
Benson Parish Council said they had been informed by Cala, who built the park, that ‘remedial works were necessary to keep the park safe.
A spokesperson said: “A recent inspection identified the need for remedial works, as sections of the safety surface have lifted and areas of the grass require re-seeding to ensure the play are remains safe and enjoyable for everyone.
“Thanks for your patience while Cala carries out these essential works.”
Hopefield Grange is a 187-home development built of Littleworth Road in Benson by Cala Homes from 2016, and in 2018, permission was granted to extend the development by a further 240 houses.
