Oxfordshire – Two drivers banned for drink driving
Anthony Baker, of The Chestnuts, Charlton, was caught on Wallingford Street, Wantage, on August 22 last year, a court heard.
The 63-year-old pleaded guilty to drink driving when he appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court recently.
He was breathalysed, with the result being 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath while driving a Citroen Picasso. This is more than double the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The court record didn’t specify the vehicle he was driving. He also pleaded guilty to drink driving.

He was also banned from the road for 18 months, but this can be reduced by 18 weeks if a course is completed by February 21 next year.
