Oxfordshire Specsavers branches recognised for their service
Specsavers branches in Bicester and Witney, both locally owned, have been named finalists in the Community category of the Awards for Excellence.
The annual awards recognise the achievements and professionalism across all UK and Ireland Specsavers stores.
Satnam Johal, store director at Specsavers Bicester, said: “We’re delighted to have made the top three in the Community category.
“To be recognised amongst our peers is particularly rewarding and in a category that means a huge amount to us as a team.
“Everyone puts a lot of effort into making sure we not only support our local community, but that we play a part in it too.
“We ended 2025 on a high by taking home the Multiple Practice of the Year title at the Opticians Awards and are hopeful we add to our trophy cabinet.”
Cathy Mullen, store director at Specsavers Witney, said: “From sponsoring sports teams, to running a meaningful community initiative for 10 years and providing free eye examinations to people experiencing homelessness, we work hard to try and give back as much as we can.
“We pride ourselves on offering the very best eye and ear care services to local people, but it’s equally important to us that we do as much as we can outside the four walls of the business.
“To make the shortlist is an achievement in itself and we’re looking forward to the awards ceremony and hopefully celebrating on the night.”
The winners will be announced at the end of March.
