Oxfordshire man arrested for illegal driving with van seized
Thames Valley Police said the “well-known local male” was found to be driving while disqualified and is a “persistent offender” in the area.
The incident occurred between Friday 29 May and Sunday May 31 and was revealed by the Didcot and Wallingford Neighbourhood Police Team.

They said: “Needless to say, the vehicle being driven was seized.
“This individual is a frequent offender in our area with a long history of various offences.

“Persistent offending puts others at risk, and we will continue to take robust action where needed.”
In addition, the team said they had attended multiple road traffic collisions including a fatal incident and another where those involved were “walking wounded”, meaning they were able to leave the scene but required medical checks.
A spokesperson for the unit said: “Both vehicles involved were unfortunately written off.

“Police Community Support Officers supported with road closures, safely redirecting traffic, and clearing debris to prevent further danger.
“We also assisted in gathering details from those involved and arranging vehicle recovery to keep things moving.
“Incidents like these highlight just how quickly things can change on the road – please take care out there.”
