Oxfordshire lighting firm to be liquidated amid £73K debts
The Gazette has reported that Design Lighting Solutions Limited has collapsed and will soon be liquidated.
Based in Haydon End, Swindon, until very recently, a meeting was held in relation to the business on July 17, at which a motion was passed.

The motion said: “That the Company be wound up voluntarily and that Lawrence King (IP No. 10452) and Matthew Waghorn (IP No. 9432) both of Antony Batty & Co, Thames Valley, The Wooden Barn, Barclay Farm, Little Baldon, Oxford, OX44 9PU be appointed Joint Liquidators of the Company and that they be authorised to act either jointly or separately.”
As such, since the liquidators have been appointed, it is now based in Little Baldon, Oxfordshire.

In its Companies House profile, the company has registered its ‘nature of business’ as ‘other service activities not elsewhere classified’.
This covers a wide variety of personal services not listed elsewhere, including astrology, dating agencies, pet sitting, tattooing, shoe shining, and coin-operated service machines (like photo booths and weighing machines).

However, as the name suggests, Design Lighting Solutions Limited is involved in the lighting industry.
In its latest accounts to March 30, 2025, it listed creditors falling due within one year of £72,893.
Its average number of employees was one.
