Oxfordshire learning disability nurse in misconduct charge

Paul Michael Stephen McCann is to face the Nursing and Midwifery misconduct panel virtually, with the case set to be heard between June 29 and July 14.

Mr McCann qualified as a mental health nurse in September 2008 and specialised in people with learning difficulties.

The ‘fitness to practice committee substantive hearing’ is related to actions in Oxfordshire.

Allegations in a nursing ‘fitness to practice’ hearing could be about misconduct or a lack of competence and could lead to a formal caution, suspension or the individual being struck off.

The judging panel is made up of experienced people including a representative from the same part of the register as the individual.
