Oxfordshire fuel thief leaves petrol stations without paying
Matthew Sammons, 32, of Islip Road, Bletchingdon, pleaded guilty to the offences, which took place between July 2024 and January this year in Cowley, Bicester, and Frilford.
The total value of fuel stolen was £726.99.
Sammons also admitted to two counts of shop theft in Oxford on September 26 and November 21, stealing items worth £413.85 from John Lewis.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court, he was handed a community order, requiring him to complete 80 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
He must also comply with up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity and attend appointments as directed by a responsible officer.
He was ordered to pay £953.37 in compensation.
The offences included driving off without paying for fuel, with individual amounts stolen ranging from £60.29 to £92.75.
Other items taken included Beats earphones and clothing.
