Oxfordshire business finalist in British Farming Awards 2026

The shortlist for the 14th annual British Farming Awards has been announced, an event supported by Morrisons to celebrate the ‘very best of British agriculture’.

This year’s award ceremony takes place on Thursday, October 15 at the VOX Birmingham, and is set to be ‘the best celebration yet’.

Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir is set to take centre stage and perform live during the popular event, while the best of the industry are celebrated across 20 categories.

Ruby Gwilliam, head of communications for the choir, said: “The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir is honoured to be invited to perform at The British Farming Awards.

“This is one of the most prestigious occasions in the farming calendar and we all look forward to entertaining our peers in the industry.

“It promises to be a fun filled evening and one where we might be allowed to wear our party frocks instead of farming gear.”

One Oxfordshire business is up for a prize in the prestigious awards, with long-standing mainline dealer in the agricultural, groundcare and garden machinery sectors, Turney Group, named a finalist in the Agricultural Supplier of the Year category.

Founded in 1948, the family-run business has won awards for its service, including overall dealer of the year in the Service Dealer Awards 2025, and best new initiative and farm machinery dealer of the year.

In the British Farming Awards, Turney Group will go up against four others, Daw Refrigeration of Exeter, Duncan & Toplis of Lincolnshire, and Shield Agriculture of Lancashire.
