Aaron Ramsey’s Oxford return to the third tier for the new season after two years in the Championship, suffering relegation last time out.

Ahead of the upcoming campaign, the U’s have announced their new home shirt which is the first chapter of the Inspires Series, Art Inspires, in collaboration with Oxford artist and lifelong Yellows supporter Andrew ‘Mani’ Manson.

United don their usual yellow as the primary shirt colour, with a dark blue strip behind the central sponsor, BAXI, and blue also on the collar and top of the sleeves.

The Macron kit is without the full Oxford United badge, using just the famous ox, creating a retro feel to the new strip.

United travelled to Spain on Sunday for a warm-weather training camp and will kick off their first pre-season friendly on July 21 away at Aldershot Town.

Competitive action begins on August 8 with an away trip to Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup.

Last week, the U’s were placed under a temporary transfer embargo meaning they will not be able to register any new signings until the January window.

United had brought in one new signing in former Heart of Midlothian centre back Frankie Kent on a free transfer before the embargo was confirmed.
