Oxford man ‘threatens and spits at’ three-year-old boy
The incident happened as a man was walking along the cycle path between Wytham Street and Lake Street between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Friday, March 21.
He was accompanied by his three‑year‑old son when an unknown man became threatening towards them and spat in their direction, says Thames Valley Police.
The victim shouted for help, and a man and a woman came around the corner and assisted.

Thames Valley Police is now looking to identify these two people as potential witnesses and would like to speak with them.
It is also reported that the suspect may have made a comment to a female jogger shortly before the incident.
The police force added in an appeal today (Wednesday, April 1) that officers are keen for her to get in touch as she may have important information.

Officers have described the suspect as a white man, who was aged 25–35 years old.
It is added that he had a neutral or southern English accent, was of average height, and was notably not wearing shoes or socks.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a public order incident in Oxford.
“Anyone with information or footage should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference 43260143194.”
