Oxford – Inquest due for construction worker who collapsed at work

Sergejs Kuzmiskins, of Reliance Way, Oxford, died on Monday, July 7 last year at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington.

An inquest into the 54-year-old’s death was opened by HM senior coroner Darren Salter at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court on July 22.

The opening heard that the Latvia-born man collapsed while working and was taken to hospital, where he subsequently died.

The body of the deceased was identified to hospital staff by a friend who was present during admission.

His death was verified at 12.40pm.

A post mortem examination is unascertained ‘pending further analysis’, the court was told.

His full inquest will be held at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court on May 11 at 1pm.
