Oxford City FC joins partnership with Oxford City Farm
Oxford City FC has teamed up with Oxford City Farm, a charity based in East Oxford that connects people with food, farming, and nature.
The farm is open to visitors twice a week and offers hands-on activities for people of all backgrounds and ages.
Chris Williams, head of partnerships at Oxford City FC, said: “We have loved working with our friends at the Oxford Bus Company and Get Radio on the Brand the Bus competition and are looking forward to building on our existing partnership with Sobell House, who won the competition this year.
“But the panel of judges were hugely impressed by Oxford City Farm and having been down to visit and meet everyone it is a truly inspiring place.
“There are obvious ways we can support each other in terms of community and education.
“We would love people to offer help and support and once again it’s a great example of how we as a football club can work with amazing causes all across Oxfordshire.”
The connection between the two organisations began through the Brand the Bus competition, which has already helped raise the profile of Oxford City Farm.
Nicole from Oxford City Farm said: “It has been incredible how Brand the Bus has opened doors for us, even before the bus with our branding on the back starts carrying people around Oxford.
“We share that passion for giving something back to the city of Oxford.”
