Over 100 enjoy free Oxfordshire ‘Brass on the Grass’ show

The concert from Witney Town Band was held on Sunday, June 7, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at the Woodgreen park.

Afterwards, the group thanked local people for turning out for the first in its ‘Brass on the Grass’ series.

On social media, a spokesperson said: “We think we had an audience of over 100 by the end – thank you so much for coming out, and we very much hope you enjoyed our performance.”

The band’s next concerts will be on Sunday, July 5, at Oxlease (by Cogges Farm) from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and on Sunday, August 2, at The Leys.

The amateur group is made up of brass musicians who practice every week and perform at events throughout Oxfordshire.
