A statement from the new business said: “After a long journey, we’re so excited to announce that Blossom Poetry Studio & Cafe will be opening on August 14.

“We’re a brand-new pottery painting studio and cafe in the heart of Banbury.

“Whether you like to relax with a delicious coffee and cake or get creative painting pottery with friends and family, we’d love to welcome you.”

Ahead of the summer opening, the cafe has opened pottery painting bookings online, but no booking is required to head into the new spot for coffee and cake.

The studio and cafe will host pottery painting sessions from 10am each day, with normal cafe opening hours from 8am to 5pm.

Customers attending painting sessions will get to choose a bisque piece from the cafe’s shelves, such as a mug, bowl or small vase – and take time to paint it themselves.

The pieces are left with the studio and glazed and fired in the kiln, before being ready for collection about a week later.

An hour-and-a-half session costs each painter £5 to book a studio place, including all materials and a complimentary coffee or cake, plus a piece of pottery priced from £14.
