Voco Oxford Thames, located in close proximity to The Oxford Science Park and the emerging Ellison Institute of Technology campus, is responding to growing demand for meetings focused on wellbeing, nature, and sustainability with a shift away from traditional indoor events.

The hotel now offers businesses a suite of outdoor options, including team-building activities and company fun days across its 30-acre riverside grounds.

Logesh Waran, hotel manager at Voco Oxford Thames, said: “Corporate clients are no longer looking for just a meeting room and a coffee break.

“We are seeing a huge number of enquiries for outdoor events, team-building days and experiences that help people reconnect properly.

“Our grounds, river access, and location give us a real point of difference.

“Teams can meet, dine, compete, relax, and even arrive by boat, all without leaving the hotel.”

The new packages include everything from country sports and archery to inflatable challenges, garden games, and traditional school sports day activities.

A standout feature is the hotel’s private access to the River Thames.

In partnership with Salters Steamers and Oxford River Cruises, Voco Oxford Thames can offer delegates private boat experiences, ranging from welcome drinks on the lawn to scenic cruises into Oxford.

Events are managed in partnership with KDM Events, who provide tailored, professionally delivered team-building programmes.

Hospitality is led by executive chef Ciprian Dumitrache, with a focus on seasonal menus, outdoor dining, and relaxed corporate hospitality.

The hotel’s vintage food and beverage truck serves as an informal social hub.

For more formal occasions, Napier’s Kitchen & Bar offers a refined seasonal dining experience.
