New Chipping Norton wine cellar shop to open this weekend
Chipping Norton Cellars is opening in Market Street on Saturday, June 6.
The business has been run by Oli Gauntlett, who has been working in wine retail for more than 20 years in the county.

His company already runs Eynsham Cellars in Mill Street, which opened in 2010, and the Market Cellar Door in Oxford’s Covered Market which opened in 2020.

Mr Gauntlett said: “We have a great little team here in Chippy, Andrew will be managing it after leaving a career as a milkman to pursue his passion.
“We’ll also have great assistants, locals Will and Seamus, who are excited to help and share their new found knowledge.”

The wine shop has more than 500 wines in its collection, plus many spirits, beers and ciders, built up through dedicated years sourcing and tasting each of the products.
The independent wine experts business runs several events in Witney every year, including Witney Wine Festival which is returning for the fourth year in October to showcase 120 of the retailer’s favourite wines.
Locals have expressed their excitement for the new shop as they welcome the business to Chipping Norton, with many saying they were ‘looking forward’ to the grand opening.
