Missing Oxfordshire villager found after welfare concerns

The force asked for the public’s help to find Gordon from Wheatley yesterday (Saturday, March 21).

It had been reported that he was last seen in Oxford at midday on Friday, March 20 with police stressing that he was not a danger to the public and that they were concerned for his welfare.

However, today (Sunday March 22) Thames Valley Police has confirmed he has been found.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Good news! We’re pleased to confirm that the missing 52-year-old man, Gordon, from Wheatley has been found.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
