Michelin-starred TV chef to return to Cotswolds after leaving pub

Often featuring on TV with appearances on James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV, she was also the winner of the banquet starter course on the 2025 Great British Menu.

The 38-year-old departed The Pem in London last spring and joined The Bull in Charlbury as head of food.

A successful 2025 saw the Cotswolds watering hole be crowned the best pub in the UK by Pub and Bar Magazine.

Since Ms Abé’s arrival, it was also named as the only Oxfordshire entry in Time Out’s top 20 UK restaurants list.

The TV chef worked her last day at The Bull on January 7 and announced her departure on her Instagram page.

“So, some New Year news, today is my last day at The Bull,” she said.

“Moving to the Cotswolds was never on my bingo card, but I must admit it’s been a brilliant year and I’ve made so many new friends, learned so much about produce and had the pleasure of working with some wonderful people.

“Something new and very exciting is coming, and it’s close. I can’t wait to share it with you.”

Ms Abé then opened a new restaurant in March called Teal, located in Hackney, London.

She is now set to return to the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire for The Big Feastival, held at Blur musician Alex James’ Kingham farm.

The 38-year-old chef is part of the line-up for the festival, which takes place next week from Friday, August 28, until Sunday, August 30.

Ms Abé’s Teal is temporarily closed at present and has been since Monday (August 17), with the restaurant set to reopen next Thursday (August 27).
