Mercedes seized in Oxfordshire village for motorist offence

Thames Valley Police has said that they have “recovered” a Mercedes C220d class last night (Friday, March 20) as the driver had no insurance.

This was in Nuneham Courtenay village, just south of Oxford.

A spokesperson for the Rural Crime Taskforce: “Police constables Dollery and Woolley are currently recovering this vehicle under S165A of the Road Traffic Act in Nuneham Courtenay as the driver had no insurance.

“The Taskforce are out on patrol across the force this evening, please report any suspicious activity to us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.”

Newer models of the Mercedes C220d are marketed for up to £40,000, with it traditionally having a diesel engine.
