Man denies handling stolen caravan on A34 in Oxfordshire

Robert Stokes, of Carousel Park, Micheldever, near Winchester, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on August 27.

The 27-year-old is charged with one count of handling stolen goods, namely a caravan on the A34 near Botley on June 5, 2024.

According to the court record, the caravan in question was an Elddis Magnum 540 belonging to Robert Madge valued at £15,465.

Stokes pleaded not guilty to the offence.

A trial date was given for a flexible list, previously known as a warned list.

This means it will be held in a two-week period from August 31 next year. The trial is set to last around two days.

Stokes was released on unconditional bail.
