Man arrested and charged after ‘alarming’ driving in Banbury
Thames Valley Police’s neighbourhood team for Banbury said they spotted a vehicle being ‘driven in an alarming manner’ over the weekend and pulled it over.
They reported that the driver ‘appeared intoxicated’ and failed a roadside breath test, allegedly providing a reading of more than twice the legal limit.
The man was arrested and taken into custody at the weekend, and has subsequently been charged with drink driving.
He will appear before the Magistrates’ Court in due course.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Drink driving puts everyone at risk. Please don’t take the chance. Plan ahead and find another way home.”
